Welcome to GranthVani ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using the GranthVani website and mobile application (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GranthVani regarding your use of the Service. By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

GranthVani is an AI-powered spiritual assistant for Sanatan Dharma. The Service includes:

• AI-powered Q&A about Hindu scriptures, including the Bhagavad Gita, Puranas, and Vedas
• Audio and video content related to Sanatan Dharma
• Vedic calendar (Panchang) with daily tithis, nakshatras, and festival information
• User accounts with authentication via phone number, and optionally Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple
• Personalization features including bookmarks, reading history, and preferences

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3.1 Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account by providing your phone number. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information promptly when it changes.

3.2 Authentication

We use OTP (One-Time Password) authentication via SMS for account verification. You agree to receive SMS messages from us for authentication purposes. Message and data rates may apply. Where the app offers it, you may also sign in with your Google or Apple account. What we collect when you do is described in our Privacy Policy.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Post or transmit any content that is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service without our written permission
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, and display such content solely for providing the Service.

5.2 Service Content

All content provided through the Service, including scripture references, translations, audio, video, and AI-generated responses, is for informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of any content.

5.3 Scripture Citations

Our AI provides answers with citations to Hindu scriptures. These citations are intended as a guide for spiritual study. Users should verify critical religious guidance with qualified scholars or spiritual teachers.

5.4 Trademarks

"GranthVani" and related logos are trademarks of GranthVani. You may not use these trademarks without our prior written permission.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you agree to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

7.1 Free Tier

The core AI Q&A, Panchang calendar, and basic content library are provided free of charge. We reserve the right to modify what is included in the free tier.

7.2 Premium Features

Optional premium features may be available through subscription. If you purchase a subscription, you agree to pay all fees at the prices in effect at the time of purchase.

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial periods.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Any reliance on the Service is at your own risk.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL GRANTHVANI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
• Any content obtained from the Service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GranthVani and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service or any violation of these Terms.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranties, disclaimer, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.

GranthVani offers a Kids Mode for younger users. In this mode, content is curated for age-appropriateness. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, please contact us at support@granthvani.com and we will delete it promptly.
